Join us on Thursday, June 16, 2022 for the REIC Pursuit of Excellence Awards Celebration at The Drake Hotel in the Queen West region of Toronto.

We’re excited to host you for a fun evening of passed hors d’oeuvres and attractive food stations with ample space to mix and mingle at high top tables or sit comfortably with old and new friends alike. We anticipate the conversations to be lively and the drinks to be plentiful! We look forward to congratulating our Pursuit of Excellence Award winners throughout the evening and will conclude with special entertainment from Michael McCreary (autistic comedian, actor, author and TEDX speaker). Join us for an evening to remember!

Tickets are limited! Early bird tickets are now available until May 15 (or until they are sold out)!

Schedule:

  • 6:00-7:00 pm – Welcome mix and mingle with passed hors d’oeuvres and grazing stations
  • 7:00-8:00 pm – Award Presentations
  • 8:00-9:00 pm – Hot food stations and networking
  • 9:00-9:30 pm – Special entertainment: Michael McCreary (Comedian)
  • 9:30-Late – Socialize in our private space until 11:00 pm or venture upstairs to the Sky Yard for late night drinks and cocktails

  • Members: $135
  • Non-Members: $150

Michael McCreary — AspieComic, Comedian

Twenty-six-year-old Michael McCreary is an autistic comedian, actor, author and TEDX speaker who’s been performing stand-up comedy since age 13.  In the past 8 years, he has performed stand-up shows and keynote addresses in every province in Canada – plus the Yukon – and across the United States.

Michael has also written the book “Funny, You Don’t Look Autistic” (Annick Press), hosted the Autism Ontario video “Autism: See the Potential”, has consulted on the TV show “Ransom” to ensure the authenticity of a character with autism and has been featured on The National and on CBC Radio’s “Laugh Out Loud”! He is currently playing the role of a neurodivergent character in the new TV series Astrid & Lilly Save the World (SYFY Network). In May he will be part of the Winnipeg Comedy Festival for CBC.

He was the featured comic in Commander Chris Hadfield’s Generator show at Massey Hall in Toronto in 2016.
