Membership Dues Subsidy The REIC Chapter offers a Membership Dues Subsidy to those Calgary Chapter REIC Members who are undergoing temporary financial hardship and who value retaining their REIC designation.
Completed applications are reviewed by the REIC Calgary Board of Directors at the meeting following receipt of the application documents. Applicants are notified in writing of their application status and if approved, the Calgary Chapter portion of their dues due or upcoming dues for the next membership year will be paid from the REIC Calgary Chapter Scholarship Fund.
Membership dues subsidies are granted for a single year only. A Member may receive up to two Dues Subsidies in a lifetime. The Member must complete a full application for each Dues Subsidy.
The REIC Chapter offers scholarships to those real estate industry members who express an interest in earning one of REIC’s credentials. The scholarship may be used for tuition only on any of REIC’s course offerings. The recipients can attend up to 3 REIC courses – at a subsidized tuition rate determined by the REIC Calgary Board of Directors – that fulfill the requirement for earning any of the nine active REIC designations.
Completed applications are reviewed by the REIC Calgary Board of Directors at the meeting following receipt of the application documents. Applicants are notified in writing of their application status and if approved, may being using the scholarship award upon approval. Scholarship awards may be used for the first enrolment of classroom, online or home study courses, and may not be used for course re-takes or exam re-takes. Scholarships do not cover tuition for courses attended prior to scholarship approval.
Scholarships must be used within 3 years of the date awarded. Extensions may be granted upon approval of the Board of Directors.
The REIC Candidate Member will notify the REIC Calgary Chapter of their intent to register for a course, and the REIC Calgary Chapter will forward tuition funds to the course host directly.
