This short course provides a comprehensive understanding of the Reserve Planning Standards. By the completion of this four (4) hour course, you will be equipped with the standards knowledge necessary to develop effective and accurate reserve plans.
Prior to the beginning of the course, students will be required to read through the CRP Standards, REIC Code of Professional Standards, and the provincial legislation pertaining to planner qualifications and planning requirements in the region where their studies are being conducted. Course Content
Understand the Standards and their relationship with legislative requirements
Identify the general reserve planning principles and requirements
Review Standards required to conduct a physical analysis of a reserve to determine its condition and maintenance needs
Review Standards required to conduct a financial analysis to assess the reserve's funding requirements
Look at possible scenarios that may arise and how they can be addressed through the Standards
Using Standards and all relevant information to create a comprehensive report
